Biography:

Valkyrie, as portrayed by Tessa Thompson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a complex and powerful Asgardian warrior. Her first appearance in the MCU was in the film Thor: Ragnarok (2017).

Haunted by a tragic past where she was the sole survivor of a battle against Hela, in which her fellow Valkyries were slain, she retreated to the planet Sakaar and became a scavenger for the Grandmaster. There, she was known as Scrapper 142.

Over time, Valkyrie overcomes her trauma and rejoins the fight for Asgard. Following the devastating events of the Snap, she establishes New Asgard on Earth in Norway. In Avengers: Endgame, she fights alongside the Avengers against Thanos. After the battle, Thor decides to travel the cosmos with the Guardians of the Galaxy and names her Queen of New Asgard.
